Tarkett is proud to have been selected to feature in the exhibition “Metanoia”: Stairway to Heaven by Patricia Bustos as part of Casa Decor 2020 - Madrid’s popular design event, which opened on March 5 and was temporarily closed on March 12 due to current circumstances. Conceived as a platform to showcase emerging trends in interior design, each year the event sees the transformation of a different location in the center of the city, displaying over 50 different curated spaces.
Bustos designed Metanoia as a “retreat”, a stairway to a utopian world dedicated to inner peace and the connection with our environment. The studio selected Tarkett's homogeneous flooring collection Eclipse Premium as one of the main elements to create a temple for body and soul, also in collaboration with Hansgrohe.
The entire space is cloaked in a coat of immaculate white fur that spirits visitors away to a cavern. Tarkett’s flexible and versatile flooring material, both sustainable and acoustic, works with the fur lined room to transform Metanoia into a balmy space for overactive minds in need of peace and quiet.
After graduating with a Master’s degree in Fashion Design from Saint Martin’s School of Art, Patricia founded her Madrid-based interior design studio, renowned for its colouristic hallmark and unmistakeable, sophisticated, fresh, feminine feel. Inspired by a mix of Milanese avant-garde, mid-century modern, crazy 60s and Sottsass’ Memphis styles, the studio's projects include private homes, hotels, restaurants, offices and shops. Aethestically cutting edge, the studio took home two Casa Decor 2018 awards for “Best Space” and “Most Photographed Space”. www.patricia-bustos.com
